This year we have some surprises  up our sleeve.  The Howling Coyote "Accoustic Blues Band" featuring longtime favorite Michael Lewis, and introducing Jacy Lee on percussion and Kevin "The Harmonica Man" Scheeval, will be joining the tour.  I am really excited about this new season and hope to see you soon!

HCT 2008 HCT to Northern California Memories...
(7/17/08, Webmaster) The JNG Band and Jim Sobo hit the road this morning after their usual Wednesday night gig at Coyote Joes.  They traveled for 12 hours straight arriving in the bay area just after noon.  The guys are really stoked to be taking their music to The City and it's sourroundings and are resting up for some good times.  The boys performed live in studio on KRSH live which was also streamed The Krush Live
(7/22/08, Sobo) Tuesday, July 22nd, 1:16pm.  The show in Napa went great, the JNG Band rocked Downtown Joe's, and I beleive I put together a good acoustic set for the dinner crowd before all hell broke loose.  We recieved a complimentary article from the Napa Valley Register, so that probably helped our efforts Napa Valley Register.  The KRSH show in Santa Rosa went great.  Andre, the show's host seemed pleased with our performances, we'll post them and the Napa article on the website ASAP.  We have a show tonight at The Last Day Saloon in Santa Rosa, Lagunitas Brewery will be attending, doing a beer promo for the show.  They too have been kind to us out here on the road, we appreciate all the positive energy that seems to be surrounding us right now.  That's all I got, signing off for now, look forward to my next installation.

The show in Petaluma was fantastic.  A national act "New Riders of the Purple Sage" were in town, playing just around the corner from Bricks.  This drew many enthusiastic fans to their show, as well as ours.  The venue was centrally located, good performance space and very generous manager, in regards to supporting our tour concept.  Nice peolple, good crowd, overall one of my favorite gigs and towns we've played in thus far.  I adopted a new gig on Friday, back in Santa Rosa, in the downtown area we should have played in on Tuesday!  The place was packed, the performance space was upstairs looking down on the crowd, so the sound quality was an issue.  But considering it was added at the last minute, the show went well, the owner was happy, and I made a possible new contact for next year's tour.  So, here we are: Saturday before showtime on Haight St. in San Francisco, our last stop before heading home.  I did an on-air performance for KUSF Friday morning at 8:00am to throw in a last minute promo for today's show.  The ad is placed in the SF Weekly, the spots ran on the Friday morning and the afternoon commute on KUSF, and I'm ready to put in our last performance before heading home.  We're all tired, but our hard work paid off, and I feel competent as a promoter and performer.  The JNG Band worked their butts off, and I'm gratefull to have them as tour buddys and comrades.  Thank you for supporting the tour, we love you all!
Jim.

In the true spirit of independence, we present to you the Howling Coyote Tour, where music lovers can come together and enjoy an event of independent, diverse and contemporary singer/songwriters original music.  As a listener, rather than committing yourself to one band or artist, you can expose yourself to several different established artists from the Southwest, who contribute to each other’s music through ever-changing vocal and instrumental arrangements, all of which makes for a tour as enjoyable for the artist as the listener.  Artists have CDs for sale on iTunes and CD Baby.com, as well as at the show for new and old fans alike.  This year’s line-up is Kenny James, Jim Sobo, Jonathan Hust & Gary Ukura – the JNG Band, David Whitley and guest instrumentalist Michael Lewis.  The show ranges from an all day event to a three set format depending on the venue.  However this stew of artists and tunes are served up, it’s sure to be a tasty treat for all!  Last year’s tour went great, we received a complimentary article from the Half Moon Bay Review and performed on the 30th Anniversary of KUSF, an interview that featured all the performers and details regarding the tour.  We look forward to a fantastic 2008 season, and can’t wait for fans of the tour to enjoy our current line-up of talented and diverse artists! From all of us here at Shoot for the Moon Productions; we hope you soon, if interested in booking, click on “contact us” on the home page, all shows booked will receive promotion presskit materials and all shows booked will receive promotion through local radio and publications.
